Order Issues

This error occurs when login credentials don't match registration information. Here are the key reasons:

  1. New eShop URL: Our new eShop is located on a different URL address than our old warchalshop. Unfortunately, we were not able to migrate your old login information to our new eShop, since we do not have access to your password, which is safely encrypted. You will need to create a new account.
  2. Case Sensitivity: Both email addresses and passwords are case sensitive, so please check that the Caps Lock key on your keyboard is not activated and try retyping your login information again.
  3. Forgotten Password: You can reset your password via the "Forgot password?" link on the login page, which sends a reset link to your email address.

This typically means the trial purchase was already submitted. Please check your "Order history" by clicking the account figure when signed in. Previous orders are listed there, and you can pay for the original order with trial set anytime, simply by clicking on the number of your order and then following a few easy steps after clicking on the "Make payment" button.

Payment

Several factors may cause payment failure. Some credit cards aren't suitable for online purchases or lack CVV entry. International payments may be blocked by banks for security reasons; contact your bank to authorize foreign transactions.

Alternatively, use PayPal – even without an account, you can pay via credit card through PayPal, which often succeeds where direct card payments fail.

PayPal occasionally fails to notify the shop if you don't complete the redirect process correctly (e.g., pressing backspace or closing the browser). Our team reviews PayPal transactions daily to match payments with orders.

Please allow one day for manual status updates; contact support if the status hasn't changed afterward.

Non-EU customers aren't actually charged VAT – prices exclude it. However, EU law requires customs clearance filing (costing €42), making exports unprofitable for small orders. We absorb the VAT cost ourselves, which is why it appears on invoices despite being paid by our company.

Delivery

A signature is required upon delivery. If shipped via Slovak Post, a card is left at your local post office with collection details. Door-to-Door delivery messengers attempt multiple deliveries and will try to contact you by phone in order to rearrange delivery.

A "Processing" status means the order is being prepared for shipment. We aim to dispatch orders within two business days, after which you'll receive an email with tracking information.

Technical

Loop end strings produce a warmer and more projecting sound due to longer after-length measurements. The acoustic differences are measurable via spectrum analysis.

We recommend proper fine tuner setup, and we address durability concerns about loop breakage – when installed correctly, loop ends are just as reliable as ball ends.

Higher tension generally increases volume but reduces overtones and playability. Lower tension creates a thin and sharp sound lacking substance.

At Warchal, we seek lower tensions when possible, with some E strings having higher tension for specific sonic characteristics.

The causes include bow positioning and left-hand contact during string changes. Certain instruments are inherently susceptible to this issue.

We recommend the non-whistling Amber E for instruments prone to whistling.

Strings need no special maintenance. We recommend occasional rosin removal using alcohol or cloth – never use metal tools.

You can also apply pencil graphite to nut and bridge notches to reduce friction and extend string life.

A commonly accepted limit of string duration is 150 hours of playing. Replacement depends on playing intensity, perspiration corrosiveness, and your sound quality expectations.

If you notice the sound becoming dull or the strings feeling rough, it's time to replace them.
