Designed for the most demanding players, Brilliant synthetic core viola strings offer concert-hall projection, rich tonal complexity, and outstanding durability and responsiveness.

The Brilliant set is designed for players who seek maximum projection and tonal richness. It also offers quick tuning stability. Synthetic core strings typically require three to four days to settle before reaching their full tonal potential.

Both metal and synthetic core A strings are available. While the synthetic A string blends seamlessly with the rest of the set, aluminium or hydronalium-wound A strings tend to be less durable than metal core versions—so we wanted to offer players a choice.

Viola strings are available in two sizes:

• Medium vibrating length: 14″–15″ (36–38 cm)

• Long vibrating length: 15″–15.75″ (38–40 cm)

Please note that we specify vibrating string length, not body size. For violas with an exact 38 cm vibrating length, we recommend choosing the Medium size.

To avoid damaging the strings, it’s essential to choose the correct Warchal viola string size based on the vibrating string length (the distance between the bridge and the nut), rather than the body length. We find that most violas fall into the Medium category.
